A watch officer is trained in all three of these sub roles, and may act as one or all three roles. Other officers may learn one or more of these roles, but may only as as one role at any given time.
All three sub roles can be considered a non patrol role for officers facing disciplinary action, rehabilitation following an RP injury, or for dispatchers who want something to do ingame as well as dispatch.
Retrieves equipment from the armoury and gives it to other officers starting their patrol / restocking their vehicle
Checks long gun certs and notes who has requested a long gun for their patrol
Stationed at the front desk of RHPD, assisting members of the public with any enquiries
Processes firearm license applications
Takes police reports from members of the public reporting suspicious activity or non urgent crimes
Maintains order in the public area of the station
Stationed in the basement of RHPD
Assists in processing arrested suspects, carrying out searches and confiscating weapons and illegal items
Assists the arresting officer with the arrest report
